What We Do

At RARMS we offer expertise in archives and records management, tailored specifically to the needs of your organisation. Our services cover all aspects of archival work, including location and appraisal of records, rehousing and electronic cataloguing, image digitisation and related research activities.

Establishing, developing and managing archival projects for small to large organisations is a speciality of RARMS, as is ongoing maintenance of those projects into the future.  Depending on the needs of the organisation, full and partial archival projects can be undertaken. Archives consultancy is also available for organisational records managers and archivists, including records assessment, project proposals and strategies for the management of  inhouse archives. Research into the history of organisations and associated individuals based on the primary materials or archives of the institute is also provided.

All of these activities are undertaken to best practice in the profession, ISAD(G) – the International Standard for Archival Description developed by the International Council on Archives, and with full compliance to Irish legislation on Data Protection and FOI.
